OOAK-"One of a Kind" brooch made from vintage bits and pieces of buttons to earrings and ribbon- displayed on Antique postcard.
This brooch is one of the "Antiquities"collection of brooches and jewelry designed by Taylor Rose. Small wrists brought about the conception to create her unique brooches. The artist had inherited some of her Grandmother's charm bracelets, and loved the memories of hearing them tinkle on her wrists as she would walk along. With small wrists, she was unable to experience the joy of swinging her arms without the bracelets tumbling over her hands. Adding a little here and there, combining art with function so that the components of her grandmother's bracelets laid side by side with the antique pieces she loves to collect and wear, destined the two to jointly bring inspiration and joy to the design of the brooches. Each brooch is unique and signed by the artist and have sold in several boutiques from MacKenzie-Childs on Madison Ave, to the Cubby Hole in Carmel, CA. The artist had put jewelry making on the back burner for years and is starting to bring more pieces to life a few at a time.
This brooch has glass parts, beading. buttons, birds and tartan ribbon in reds, yellows, greens and white. The brooches are attached to a vintage postcard and can be framed in a shadow box or worn. No precious metals used on this brooch.
