MacKenzie-Childs Retired Ceramic small oval dish in Pattern Aurora EARLY
This beautiful handmade oval dish is a piece of history from the MacKenzie-Childs era when Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs owned and designed at the factory in Aurora up until 2001. Currently, this pattern and shape is not in production and has been retired for some time, so this piece is collectible.

The oval dish 6″ long x 4 3/4″ wide Has VRMC logo Very Old maybe first logo used, no date, so would have been early 1983.
These small dishes were sold a lot to be used as soap dishes or for small side dishes at a table setting
The pattern Aurora the Village of Eternal Dawn, is the correct location for MacKenzie-Childs Ltd. corporate offices, studios, and production. There, the world is full of sunrise and set and sunspots on the lake and land. Aurora was part of the Taylor Series.
Dish is good vintage condition, no chips, cracks, there is a tiny slit on edge where glaze did not fill in over clay-it is not a chip, not a defect but part of the majolica clay production process. Nice soft pastel colors
