Upcycled Pickleball Shirts: Kelsi”
Welcome to my boutique of Born Again Originals! Each item is a one of kind, not to be seen ever on anyone else, for I create my designs by starting with a discarded, thrift store find, then reconstruct, embellish with appliques, or mixture of other parts of thrift clothing, trims, buttons, whatever to ensure that each creation is different and never the same. Just as you are…a one of kind, so you have found the right place….come and spend a little time perusing through these designs. The work you will find is diverse and unique….an eclectic mix of materials, textures and patterns.
“Kelsi” The upcycled top has been turned from a Men’s sport shirt to a women’s unique fun pickleball theme shirt to wear. Show the sport you love, with this thrift store Men’s Medium dark and light teal thin stripe shirt with appliques of pickleball paddles and balls out of a teal blend tie dye tshirt parts and bright green spandex scraps from another thrift shirt. There is a kangaroo pocket on the front with an insert of the tie dye fabric, 2 pickleball appliques, and the tie dye scrap also was sewn at the end of the sleeve. There are 2 pickleball paddles appliqued on the back. Fabrics: the teal stripe 56%modal & 44% poly; tie dye 100% cotton, the black/white stripe 64% cotton, 35% poly. Since all thrift store items the fabrics have all been washed before reconstruction began. This is a NON RETURNABLE ITEM! Please take note of the measurements below. Please measure a favorite outfit (not while on yourself) laid out on a flat surface, and compare the measurements I have provided. Also take into consideration the fabrics…knits/acrylic/poly give a little, cottons do not. If you have any questions about this garment please contact me prior to purchasing. I will gladly send you more photos. The current photos were taken inside under natural light and also under recessed lighting in a smoke free home.
Measurements: Garment is measured when laid on a flat surface and measured across or down on the front side.
Bust: I measured from the front side seam at armpit across front to other armpit on the side seam 22 1/4” front side only
Shoulders: Measured from neck to top of sleeve 6”, also from back shoulder seam across back side only to shoulder seam on other side 18 1/2”
Sleeve: Measured top of sleeve seam down to bottom of cuff 11”
Length: Measured from back of neck to the hem 27 1/4”” The opening at the hem is 44” Top has vents “v” on 2 sides of hem.
