Upcycled Pickleball Shirts:” Kelley”
Welcome to my boutique of Born Again Originals! Each item is a one of kind, not to be seen ever on anyone else, for I create my designs by starting with a discarded, thrift store find, then reconstruct, embellish with appliques, or mixture of other parts of thrift clothing, trims, buttons, whatever to ensure that each creation is different and never the same. Just as you are…a one of kind, so you have found the right place….come and spend a little time perusing through these designs. The work you will find is diverse and unique….an eclectic mix of materials, textures and patterns.
“Kelley” The upcycled top has been turned from 2 Men’s sport shirt cut in half then resewn into a women’s unique fun pickleball theme shirt to wear. Show the sport you love, with this thrift store Men’s Medium of bright kelly green solid and black and white stripe on the other half. The front and back are covered with handmade appliqued pickleball paddles in the contrasting fabrics….kind of a wallpaper look with pickleball paddles. There is one pickleball on the back appliqued. On the hem of the sleeve one has black ribbon with white dashes, and the other a green zig zag trim. All made with thrifted knit shirts. Fabrics:: The green fabric is 100% poly, the black/wht stripe is 64% cotton and 36% poly. Since all are thrift store items the fabrics have been washed before reconstruction began. This is a NON RETURNABLE ITEM! Please take note of the measurements below. Please measure a favorite outfit (not while on yourself) laid out on a flat surface, and compare the measurements I have provided. Also take into consideration the fabrics…knits/acrylic/poly give a little, cottons do not. If you have any questions about this garment please contact me prior to purchasing. I will gladly send you more photos. The current photos were taken inside under natural light and also under recessed lighting in a smoke free home.
Measurements: Garment is measured when laid on a flat surface and measured across or down on the front side.
Bust: I measured from the front side seam at armpit across front to other armpit on the side seam 20” front side only
Shoulders: Measured from neck to top of sleeve 7”, also from back shoulder seam across back side only to shoulder seam on other side 17”
Sleeve: Measured top of sleeve seam down to bottom of cuff 101/2” from neckband to hem 15 1/2’”
Length: Measured from back of neck to the hem 24 1/2”” The opening at the hem is 37 1/4”
Top has vent “v” on 1 side of hem.
