Upcycled Pickleball Shirts:” Annika”
Welcome to my boutique of Born Again Originals! Each item is a one of kind, not to be seen ever on anyone else, for I create my designs by starting with a discarded, thrift store find, then reconstruct, embellish with appliques, or mixture of other parts of thrift clothing, trims, buttons, whatever to ensure that each creation is different and never the same. Just as you are…a one of kind, so you have found the right place….come and spend a little time perusing through these designs. The work you will find is diverse and unique….an eclectic mix of materials, textures and patterns.
“Annika” The upcycled top has been turned from thrift store find XL Womens Danskin sport longsleeve zip pullover shirt reconsturcted into an unique fun pickleball theme shirt to wear. Show the sport you love, with this bright chartreuse yellow/green with black and white and kelly green accent colors. Appliques of pickleball paddles and balls bring texture, color and design to what was a plain shirt. One sleeve has added stripes of fabric in black and white and kelly green which are also found in the balls and paddle appliques. All made with thrifted found items. Fabrics:: The main shirt is 100%; the blk/wht wavy on back paddle and 2 balls is 94% poly 6% spandex ; the large blk/wht ball fabric is 9%% poly 5% spandex; the other blk/whte diamond pattern is unmarked but some sort of poly/spandex I think; the kelly green fabric 96% poly 4% spandex. Since all are thrift store items the fabrics have been washed before reconstruction began. This is a NON RETURNABLE ITEM! Please take note of the measurements below. Please measure a favorite outfit (not while on yourself) laid out on a flat surface, and compare the measurements I have provided. Also take into consideration the fabrics…knits/acrylic/poly give a little, cottons do not. If you have any questions about this garment please contact me prior to purchasing. I will gladly send you more photos. The current photos were taken inside under natural light and also under recessed lighting in a smoke free home.
Measurements: Garment is measured when laid on a flat surface and measured across or down on the front side.
Bust: I measured from the front side seam at armpit across front to other armpit on the side seam 21” front side only
Shoulders: raglan sleeve, so no shoulder seam
Sleeve: Measured neckband to hem 28”’”
Length: Measured from back of neck to the hem 28” The opening at the hem is 47”
Top has vents “v” on 2 sides of hem.
