Upcycled Pickleball Shirts:” Layla”
Welcome to my boutique of Born Again Originals! Each item is a one of kind, not to be seen ever on anyone else, for I create my designs by starting with a discarded, thrift store find, then reconstruct, embellish with appliques, or mixture of other parts of thrift clothing, trims, buttons, whatever to ensure that each creation is different and never the same. Just as you are…a one of kind, so you have found the right place….come and spend a little time perusing through these designs. The work you will find is diverse and unique….an eclectic mix of materials, textures and patterns.
“Layla” This upcycled top has been turned from thrift store find L Womens Sport pullover shirt reconstructed into an unique fun pickleball theme shirt to wear. Show the sport you love, with this green and navy, one pocket and 3/4” sleeves. Appliques of pickleball paddles and balls bring texture, color and design to what was a plain shirt. There is a pocket on the lower back to place a ball during play if needed. All made with thrift found items. Fabrics:: The main shirt is 100% poly and there is cotton and acrylic with the sleeves, blue stripe lower half of shirt and appliques . Since all are thrift store items the fabrics have been washed before reconstruction began. This is a NON RETURNABLE ITEM! Please take note of the measurements below. Please measure a favorite top (not while on yourself) laid out on a flat surface, and compare the measurements I have provided. Also take into consideration the fabrics…knits/acrylic/poly “give” a little.. If you have any questions about this garment please contact me prior to purchasing. I will gladly send you more photos. Measurements: Garment is measured when laid on a flat surface and measured across or down on the front side only.
Bust: I measured from the front side seam at armpit across front to other armpit on the side seam 18” front side only
Shoulders: 6 1/4” from neckline seam to top of sleeve Neckline is surged
Sleeve: Measured neckband to hem 12 1/2”’”
Length: Measured from back of neck to the hem 26 1/2” The opening at the hem is 71” and has surged edge
