MACKENZIE-CHILDS Thistle box from the MacLachlan series, selling the bistro/blank before it was painted and transfers applied.
This box, even in it’s blank state is a beautiful creamy white porcelain with thistle flower as lid handle.
Box is oblong and measures 5 1/4″ long x 4″ wide. Stands almost 4″ tall.
No marks on bottom of box. Purchased at MacKenzie-Childs over 20 years ago.
Pre-owned, Box is in great condition, no chips or cracks. Great to serve with soup or stew inside or give as give filled with sweets!

The box was made out of the factory due to it being porcelain and not terracotta clay that the Studio in Aurora worked with. All the painting and decal laying on this series was done out of the studio and then shipped from the factory.
Shipping based before item actually packed. So if shipping cost significantly higher than actual, I will adjust cost with credit. I also offer USPS ground shipping which I will use if much less than priority.
