Description
MacKenzie-Childs Retired MacLachlan Teacup
This beautiful footed teacup 4 1/2″ is a retired pieces of history from the MacKenzie-Childs era when Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs owned and designed at the factory in Aurora up until 2001.
The MacLachlan pattern named after close family friends has the distinctive braided edge detail and painted decal from an original painting submitted to a factory to have applied to shape. The teacup painting is a painted scene from the kitchen table in Victoria & Richard’s previous home near the studio in King Ferry.
The blanks were made off sight at an Ohio factory of porcelain china where the decals were applied. They were shipped back to the factory in Aurora where the edges and gold accents were hand-painted and shipped out to customers.
The logo decal on the bottom is the old square logo with 1990 date. First Edition early for this pattern.
Suggest hand washing with soft sponge and no harsh detergents.
Pre-owned, beautiful condition like new
ALL of my M-C items unless stated otherwise, were hand-painted and made from the period when Victoria and Richard were owners and worked at the factory.
