MacKenzie-Childs Retired short column Candlestick in Aalsmeer-(1)
Measurement: 4 1/2″ High
This beautiful handmade short column candlestick is a piece of history from the MacKenzie-Childs era when Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs owned and designed at the factory in Aurora up until 2001. Currently, this pattern and shape is not in production and has been retired for some time, so this piece is more collectible.
Has early large VRMC square logo stamped on bottom in clay 1989, initials S and P potters mark imprinted in oval with square.
Candlestick is in good pre-owned condition, due to being handmade, Two tiny pinholes on neck of candlestick where something in clay blew out during firing and glaze receded back but didn’t cover pinhole completely. This is not a defect, it is part of the Majolica design of the clay.
