This upcycled top “Joey” has several different parts from thrift store finds to create a multi-dimensional and textural Winter print fleece hoodie top to wear. The main part of the top was made from a fleece throw, and the hood taken from a thrift Men’s black hoodie that was lined in same fleece as the body. There is a kangaroo front pocket, an elastic at the hem to stay snug around the hips. On the back I found a thrift store large stuffed Koala bear that I took apart, and used the head and paws to sew on back. There is also the same fur pieced and sewn around the cuffs. The bear, paws and cuffs, all pieces sewn on by hand. The colors are red, black, white and gray. It is a pullover, but has a “v” placket in the front made from parts of another knit shirt which is also the hem. There are 2 painted wooden snowflake buttons at neckline. It’s very warm, and fun to wear, especially those who are behind you!! Fabrics: The main body is fleece 100% polyester, the bear, I’m not sure. The black and white knit hem and front placket I don’t know but is a knit of some sort. You probably could machine wash, but because of the bear, and the hand sewing, I would recommend spot or dry cleaning
NOTE: Since this garment is made from second hand items, expect some minor wear. This might include gently faded fabric, minor pilling, or small areas where the color has become uneven. The beauty of wearing refashioned clothing from secondhand items is to tell the world that you care about the environment. Each garment is a one of a kind, thus the name, Born Again Original, taking that discarded item and giving it new life in a new unique way. I am not a professional seamstress, so my inside seams are not french seams and stitching most likely is crooked. This, I feel is all part of the imperfect “hand” in the process. I make each piece as if I were going to wear it myself, thus difficult at times to see them go. But, it heartens me knowing that they are sent out with a blessing and maybe I may run into it again one day!

Please measure a favorite outfit (not while on yourself) laid out on a flat surface, and compare the measurements I have provided. The current photos were taken inside under natural light and also under recessed lighting. Garment has been pre-washed from a non-smoking home.
Measurements: Garment is measured when laid on a flat surface and measured across or down on the front side only.
Bust: measured from the front side armpit across to other armpit 31”.
Sleeves: Measured from center of the back of the neck to the cuff 24 1/2” cuff width 10”
Length: Measured the front the center back of the neck seam to hem 29”
The opening at bottom hem elastic at rest without stretching 19 1/2”
