Description
Vintage MacKenzie-Childs Sugar Caster in “Cayuga” Pattern- Majolica clay
Caster Stands 8 1/2″ tall
This beautiful hand-painted and slipcast Sugar Caster is a piece of history from the MacKenzie-Childs era when Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs owned and designed at the factory in Aurora up until 2001. Currently, this pattern and shape is not in production and has been retired for some time,
Caster is hand-painted in the pattern called Cayuga, the lake that spans 50 miles by 5 miles and is gracefully laid across the front garden of the Studio grounds changing color every day
Has the very old logo VRMC square of 1994 plus potters stamp. (see photo) This piece does not have the rubber stopper in the bottom. That piece can be replaced by researching on google for stoppers that would fit the opening.
Colors are yellow, dark peach, orchid, teal blue, gray, bright blue and lime green
pre-owned, nice condition, no cracks or chips
ALL of my M-C auction items and in my online store, tayrose.com unless stated otherwise, were hand-painted and made from the period when Victoria and Richard were owners and worked at the factory
